This was going to be a Rei Ayanami costume, but several facts turned it into an Asuka costume. One, wigs cost money. Two, I don't like them anyway. And three, I have Asuka's hair already.
The patterns, fabric, shoes and socks were already on hand, so this costume was really easy. I did have to custom-dye the cotton fabric for the jumper. Her hair "plugs" I cast from latex, and glued a clip to the underside. Other than that, it's just a matter of hair-styling and loads of attitude! Now if only I could find myself a good-looking Kaji cosplayer to cling to... Tee-hee! ^_~ |
