Oh, pyrokenesis how I long for thee!

In various shots in the animé, Robin's skirt is depicted as being a longer-than-floor-length, trained and even bustled wonder. Something that is entirely impractical for anything other than standing still and looking pretty. Unless such would hinder the plot, then the skirt conveniently shortens itself and the train vanishes. Oh, animation, how I love you.

Since I was making this costume specifically to wear to a con, I knew the puddling hem and train had to go. I didn't want to spend the weekend stepping on it, nor did I want two thousand of my closest friends doing so either. So, I shortened the skirt to instep-length and eliminated the train. (Rather unintentionally, but you didn't hear me say that.)

Future plans for this costume include making the garnet gloves and coat, as well as a second version of the gown with the long hem and train. Though it may be a senseless style for a special agent, it will lend itself well to photographs and various other projects I have brewing in my foul little mind. I've also cried "Uncle!" on the hair and plan on styling a wig.
