My second foray into the world of teenie-tiny doo-dad making came in the form of the synch clips worn by Auska in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Ostensibly, this is because I wanted them for my costume. Truthfully, I was NGE goofy and wanted them to wear to class. ^_^; Oh, like you've never done it!
Asuka's Synch Clips - The ones in the photo below were made of cast resin. The original prototypes were cast latex like the Shinji clips, but that was a very labor-intensive method of construction and I have since learned better. I've also had good luck using the resin mold with a lightweight modeling compound, so I hope one day to finally pin down THE material for making synch clips.
